Fabric, Clay and More, an art show featuring the talent of potters, jewelry designers, weavers and clothing designers, opened its doors to the public at the Opelika Parks and Recreation on Denson Drive in Opelika Sept. 20.

Fifteen vendors participated in the show, which was held from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m.

“We hope to grow and have many more craft participants next year” said organizer Sherie Spain,  who is also a potter. According to Spain, 10 percent of the show’s proceeds will go to help fund restoration of the Rocky Brook Rocket, with some special sales from each vendor dedicated to the train restoration as well. Rocky Brook Rocket T-shirts were also on sale at the event.

“We’d like to have quilters, wood workers, painters and other serious craftsman apply to participate in the 2015 show, which will be held next fall,” said Spain.  There is no exhibit fee.
