Auburn native Bob Weidenbach will present Old Auburn: A Pictorial History of Auburn at OLLI’s Alabama Bicentennial Brown Bag Lunch & Lecture Series. He will explore Auburn’s history through photographs.
Weidenbach’s family is true Auburn. Both his parents graduated from Auburn, where his father later served as the assistant to the Dean of Agriculture. Weidenbach and both of his sons also graduated from Auburn, and his grandchildren are now students. That makes four generations of Weidenbach’s at Auburn. He left after graduation to live and work in Georgia, where he served as planner for the Georgia Department of Education. After retiring, Weidenbach and his wife returned to Auburn, where he now operates a piano tuning business and indulges his hobby of collecting historical photos of his home town.
The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at Auburn University (OLLI at Auburn) hosts its Alabama Bicentennial Brown Bag Lunch and Lecture Series from 11:45 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Boykin Community Center, located at 400 Boykin St. in Auburn.
