For the tenth consecutive year, the Lee County Commission has received a clean audit from the State of Alabama Examiners of Public Accounts.
Receiving a clean audit status from the Examiners means the County’s financial practices and statements were found to be materially correct and proper with no legal compliance findings. This latest is for the 2015 fiscal year, In fact, the Lee County Commission has received only one legal compliance finding in the last twelve annual audits.
As maintaining a sound financial standing is critical to the future success and growth of the County, the Lee County Commission is extremely pleased to have received clean audits over the last decade on behalf of its citizens.
County Administrator Roger Rendleman gives credit for this achievement to the staff, department heads and elected officials who strive to be good stewards of the taxpayer’s monies.
