RehabWorks of Auburn (an agency of East Alabama Medical Center) is pleased to announce that Amy Rudolph has joined its team as a Sports Performance Specialist.
Rudolph’s extensive middle and long distance running career highlights include representing the USA in the Olympic Games (1996 & 2000) where she was a finalist in the 5,000 meter race in 1996. Rudolph also set the 5,000 meter American record that season with a time of 14 minutes and 56 seconds. As a collegiate runner, Rudolph was a two-time NCAA Champion, ten-time All-American and five-time Big East Champion. She was inducted into Providence College’s Athletics Hall of Fame in 2008 where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Policy and Management in 1995. Rudolph is also a seven-time World Champion team member and a USA National Champion in the 10,000 meter run.
“Amy’s personal experience as a former collegiate and Olympic runner will benefit the athletes she trains because she knows what it takes to successfully train and reach goals,” said Trip Garner, Director of Rehabilitation Services, East Alabama Medical Center. “She understands how to properly prepare for a race and can offer personal insight on overcoming physical or mental obstacles you might face during training,” Garner added.
Whether you’re training for your first-ever 5k race or you’re a veteran marathon runner wanting to improve your race time, Rudolph will customize a training plan to fit your specific goals while emphasizing injury prevention. Rudolph is also working with athletes of all ages and of any sport to help improve their overall strength, speed and performance.
