LEE COUNTY — The Lee County Sheriff’s Foundation (LCSF) will hold its inaugural online silent auction Nov. 22 through Dec. 5.
Through this virtual fundraiser, LCSF will auction off gift baskets, individual items and experiences donated by local and regional businesses. Proceeds benefit LCSF and its mission of strengthening public safety through supporting law enforcement training, education, community programs and outreach.
Bidding begins at 9 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 22, and runs through 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 5, at bit.ly/lcsofoundationauction. All items will be available for pickup in time for the holiday season.
Items are being added to the silent auction page as they are received from the donors, so check back frequently. Some of the items so far include a gift sets, soaps, candles, local roasted coffee, event tickets and memberships to regional entertainment and sports memorabilia.
Recently, LCSF funds have been used for providing free water at community events throughout the summer, training instructors for women’s self-defense classes, buying items for local teachers’ wish lists and sponsoring children for Opelika Police Department’s Shop with a Cop program.
LCSF will use future funds from fundraisers like this silent auction to help support the Lee County Sheriff’s Office’s community programs such as community CPR training, the annual coat drive, self-defense classes for women, Be a Santa to a Senior and Clear the List 2025.
