The Opelika Chiefs semi-pro developmental football team will observe Military Appreciation Night at Moore Stadium in Opelika tomorrow night, April 25, with kickoff scheduled for 7 p.m. Admission for all military and military families will be half-price or $4.00 for adults and $3.00 for children 6 to 12. Military ID will be required.
The Chiefs remain undefeated and have moved to number one in the Xtreme South Football League (XSFL) rankings after a 44-0 win over the Memphis Panthers last Saturday night. Cameron Groce, tight end, and Heath Smith, linebacker, were named offensive and defensive most valuable players of the game.
For this week’s game the Chiefs will host the Coastal Destroyers from Florida, the second-ranked team in the XSFL. The Chiefs encourage all fans to come early and join in the pre-game festivities as they honor the men and women who bravely serve, or have served, our nation and all of us in the military. Gates will open at 6 p.m.
