Opeika Theatre Company invites the public to join the cast of its upcoming play “The Descendants” on Sunday, July 25, from 4 to 6 p.m. for a special event.
The theatre company has been working to improve the stage in the historic “Brown School”, now known as the Southside Center for the Performing Arts.
All sponsors, cast members, volunteers and those that have an interest in preserving the arts, are invited to leave their “print” in the stage before it is sealed. Items to be placed in a time capsule which will become a part of the stage are also encouraged.
During the event, the Descendants cast will give a sneak peek of its upcoming performance which is scheduled for July 30, 31 and Aug. 1, 6, 7 and 8.
