Roy “Jerrell” Riddle of Opelika was born in the Lee County Hospital to the late Roy and Alice Riddle on March 27, 1948 and passed away at East Alabama Medical Center on Nov. 15, 2021. He was 73 years old.

He was a Member of Morris Chapel Methodist Church.

Jerrell is survived by his wife of 53 years, Marsha Sumners Riddle; daughters, Cristy Riddle Milner (Brent), Kimberly Riddle Yates (Alan); son, Jerrell Clint Riddle (Crystal Jenkins) grandchildren, Megan Fuller, Tessa McCormick, Lexie McCormick Pangle (Will), Carter Milner, Kale Pickering, and Jacie Jenkins; brothers, Donnie Riddle (Susan) and Dana Riddle; aunts, Dorothy Reynolds and Betty Jean Prescott, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members.

Visitation will be held in the Parlor at Frederick-Dean Funeral Home Thursday, Nov. 18, 2021 from 12:30 until 1:45 p.m.

Funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. in the Chapel at Frederick-Dean Funeral Home at 2 p.m. with Dr. Rusty Sowell officiating. Interment will follow at Garden Hills Cemetery.

EDWARD DANIEL BALTES

Edward Daniel Baltes of Opelika, Alabama, was born in Fort Worth, Texas on Jan. 4, 1979 and passed away at UAB hospital on Nov. 15, 2021. He was 42 years old.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jimmy Baltes.

He is survived by his wife, Dominique Baltes; children, Danny Baltes (Stacey), Sady Baltes (Bo) Steven, Kayden, James Morgan, Nevaeh, and Maddie Baltes; one grandchild on the way; siblings, Billy Baltes, Kim Tyson (Gary); mother, Betty Conner (John).

Family will receive friends in the Parlor at Frederick-Dean Funeral Home Friday, Nov. 19, 2021 from 4 to 5:45 p.m.

A Memorial service will be held in the Chapel at 6 p.m. with Reverend Bill Bryan officiating.
