The Girl STEPS Inc. program studied etiquette during November and December. “It’s important that our girls know how to conduct themselves in various settings,” said program organizer Tiffany Gibson-Pitts. “I am so pleased that Leif [Espelund] and Dani [Nelson] opened up their venue to Girl STEPS, Inc. to hold this event.” The event was held at the Heritage House in downtown Opelika.

It was an added bonus that the date coincided with the carriage rides through the Victorian Front Porch Tour. VFPT Coordinator Rosanna McGinnis set up carriage rides for the girls.

In addition to the afternoon tea party, the program also conducted a dinner etiquette training session for middle and high school girls at the AU Hotel and Dixon Conference Center on Saturday.
