Auburn Area Community Theatre (AACT) invites those young and those young at heart to come see the Junior Performers show, “Jack and Lil’ and the Beanstalk,” the second show of the AACT 2021-2022 season.

Bring your family, join actors ages 5-12 and come away with us to the Appalachian Mountains for a foot-stompin’, toe-tappin’ retelling of a folk story classic. Be prepared to be swept up into the action and adventure on a magical journey up the beanstalk with this up-close experience, including singing along — it’s an ideal introduction to theatre for young children.

In this classic tale told country style, banjos twang and the hills ring with country-folk music. With audience participation, join Jack and Lil’ as they meet Lucy the goose, Strum Along the rock star banjo and a giant named Old Dan Tucker in a wondrous world above the clouds.

Performances will take place at the Jan Dempsey Community Arts Center on 222 E Drake Ave., Auburn, Alabama, on Sept. 30 and October 1, 2, 4, 7 and 8 at 6:30 p.m. with matinees on Oct. 2 and 9 at 4 p.m. Runtime is approximately 60 minutes.

Tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for children, students and seniors. Monday Oct. 4 is Family Night, all tickets are $8 for one night only. Call 334-246-1084 or visit www.auburnact.org for ticket purchases and more information. Email info@auburnact.org for group rate information.

Due to COVID-19 protocols and spaced seating, if you wish to be seated together for the performance you MUST purchase tickets together.
