Cornerstone Family Chiropractic has expanded and added a new location in Phenix City, Alabama. The business held its ribbon cutting on Friday, March 12, and its first day open was Monday, March 15.
“Our main branch is in Auburn,” said Dr. Logan Pastor, head physician at the Phenix City location. “Dr. Rusty Herring is the mastermind behind Cornerstone Family Chiropractic, and Cornerstone will be 10 years old in August. Obviously, it has grown and become an amazing place to receive chiropractic care over there in Auburn, so it has kind of been on his heart to continue to expand and increase the impact of chiropractic care in the state of Alabama.
Open Monday through Thursday each week, Pastor is leading the office in Phenix City. Pastor had been at the Auburn location since April before getting the opportunity to move to the Phenix City location.
“I was an associate doc at the Auburn office,” Pastor said. “I was given the opportunity to lead this office over here in Phenix City. It has been a really cool opportunity.”
Cornerstone Family Chiropractic in Phenix City has partnered with a local nonprofit organization called The Village. Cornerstone wants to give back to the community and have figured out the best way to do that. A deposit from each visit scheduled leading up to the ribbon cutting was given as a donation to The Village.
“It is an organization that supports foster and adoptive families in the East Alabama area,” Pastor said. “So, basically what we did was any appointment that we scheduled leading up to and at the ribbon cutting, we would take a deposit for that visit and then make a donation for the village for each and every visit we had scheduled leading up to that ribbon cutting.”
The Auburn location is partnered with the Big House Foundation that also supports foster and adoptive families. It wanted to find a local organization in Phenix city, and with Pastor’s networking within the last four weeks, she was connected with the founder of The Village, she said.
“We look forward to being able to support their organization going forward,” Pastor said.
