The Opelika Chiefs, undefeated with a 10-0 record, no. 1 ranked team in the APDFL, and regular season champions of the American Conference of the APDFL will be back in action June 4 as they start the first round of the post-season playoffs against theTallahassee Wolves at Beulah High School.  Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. central time.
The APDFL, or the Amateur to Professional Developmental Football League, is divided into two conferences, American and National. The top eight teams in each conference qualified for playoffs to determine the two conference champions who will then play each other on June 25 in Atlanta for the league championship.
All Chiefs playoff games will be at the Beulah High Football stadium since they finished first in their conference. If they keep winning, they will play home games on June 11 and June 18.
Not much is known about this week’s opponent. They have a very misleading 5-5 record – misleading in that their quarterback, a reputedly extremely talented player, was injured and has not played since early in the season. He is now fully recovered and ready to play against the Chiefs.
There’s one thing for certain. There’s going to be some good football played at Beulah next Saturday night. Be there!
