The Alabama Farmers Federation endorsed Rep. Joe Lovvorn for Alabama House District 79 in Lee County.

“Joe Lovvorn is a business leader and education advocate who understands the needs of the people of this district,” said Jamie Lazenby, Lee County Farmers Federation president. “He is a conservative who will represent the needs of our district well in the Legislature, just as he has been doing in our community for years.”

Lovvorn received his undergraduate and graduate degrees from Auburn University. He is a business owner and a retired fire battalion chief.

Lovvorn is a Rotarian, a member of the Auburn, Opelika and Montgomery Chambers of Commerce, and participates in key leadership positions in many civic and charitable organizations within the community.

“I am honored to have the endorsement of the Alabama Farmers Federation,” Lovvorn said. “It will be my privilege to continue to take the voice of the farmers and the people of this district to Montgomery.”

Lovvorn and his wife, Jenifer, are local business owners and realtors. They have two sons and are members of Cornerstone Church.

The Alabama Farmers Federation is the state’s largest farm organization with more than 350,000 members. It uses a true grassroots approach to select candidates, relying on FarmPAC endorsements from county Federation boards for local elections.
