Wayland Lee Dunn, Sr. of Opelika was born to the late Henon and Beatrice Criswell Dunn in Nashville, Tennessee on Aug. 28, 1936 and passed away at East Alabama Medical Center on Feb. 10, 2021. He was 84 years old.

Wayland attended Montgomery Catholic High School Class of ‘54. He was the proud co-owner and co-operator of Twin City Meats, and when he was not working he enjoyed traveling (especially cruises), Motorcycles, and Alabama Football.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Henon A. Dunn, “Jr.” and Charles Dunn.

Wayland is survived by his wife of 56 years, Lois “Marie” Dunn; daughter, Lisa (Tim) Meloy of Dadeville, AL. son, Wayland (Stacy) Dunn of LaFayette, AL. grandson, Shawn Nochumson of Auburn; sister-in-laws, Tenice Zerbe, Juanita Hillis, and Carolene Wu.

A graveside service was held at 11a.m. at Garden Hills Cemetery on Feb. 13, 2021.
