The Dream Day Foundation is excited to announce that phase I of the “Planted Together Project” was a complete success. Opelika and Auburn Communities came together for phase I and placed approximately 600 plants on more than 200 porches for senior communities in Auburn and Opelika. Thanks to McDonald’s of Auburn and Opelika as a major sponsor and the many other sponsors involved. We are now ready for phase II, in which we will place two house plants in each apartment due to the makeup of senior housing.
This community project is a way of helping our seniors cope better with the pandemic while staying home and staying safe. If you would like to be added to the list of sponsors on June 19, you may send a donation of $25 per apartment. The names of all sponsors will be published and shared. There is no limit to the number of sponsorships. A card with your name and address will be placed along with the plants. Deadline for donations is June 15.
