OHTS wins ‘Best in Show’ for ‘The Drowsy Chaperone’

Special to the Opelika Observer Congratulations to the Opelika High Theatre Society and the cast of The Drowsy Chaperone for winning Best in Show at the Trumbauer state theatre competition Dec. 4-5, 2015 in Troy, Ala. In addition, Scot Carpenter was named Best Supporting Actor in the state and Rachel Bailey and Abigail Miller were named to the All-Star Cast. First Place in the Duet Musical Comedic Novice category was awarded to J.T. Strickland and Owen Meadows and Third Place in the Duet Pantomime Novice category was awarded to Brighton Gregory and Martlynn Grouby. The Opelika High Theatre Society is under the direction of Revel Gholston.
