Sealed bids, subject to the conditions contained herein, will be received by the City of Opelika, Alabama, until 2:00 p.m., Local Time, Tuesday, May 31, 2016 and then publicly opened and read at the Office of the Purchasing Agent of the City of Opelika for furnishing all labor and materials and equipment necessary to provide:
INTELLIGENT CITY – CAMERA SYSTEM
within the city limits of Opelika, Alabama. This project consists principally of the follow-ing items:

There will be a MANDATORY PRE-PROPOSAL meeting onsite at City Hall, Council chambers on Wednesday, April 20, 2016 9:00 a.m. At this meeting, potential bidder will have an opportunity to ask detailed questions regarding this RFP and to observe the actual facilities and environment. A tour of all buildings will be provided at this time.
Guarantee will be required with each bid as follows: At least five (5) percent of the amount of bid in the form of a certified check or Bid Bond payable to the City of Opelika, Alabama. A Con-tract, Performance, Labor, and Material Bonds shall be required when the Contract is awarded.
The right is reserved, as the interest of the Owner may require, to reject any and all bids and to waive any informality in bids received.
Envelopes containing bids must be sealed, marked, addressed as follows, and delivered to: Lillie Finley, Purchasing-Revenue Manager, City of Opelika, 204 South 7th Street, P.O. Box 390, Ope-li-ka, Alabama, 36803. Attn.: City Camera System.
Attention of bidders is called to the License required by Title 34, Chapter 8, Code of Alabama, 1975, as last amended, relating to the licensing of General Contractors if applicable. Also, a copy of the Alabama Electronic Alabama Electronic Security License must be enclosed with the bid.
