At age 91 on Aug. 2, 2021, she was freed from her years long battle with dementia and went home to meet her maker, her Lord and Savior. She was surrounded by family and holding the hand of her beloved husband of 72 years, Levi, as she peacefully passed.

Dot loved to be outside and could often be found working in her yard, enjoying the sunshine, or spending time with her family at Lake Martin. She loved animals and had many pets like dogs, birds, rabbits, ferrets and cats.

Dot loved the Lord and her church family at Trinity United Methodist Church. She also loved to square dance and volunteered at East Alabama Medical Center for several years.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers and five sisters.

She is survived by her husband, Levi, children; Brenda (Ray) Havron of Spanish Fort, Sharon (Richard) Morgan of Alexander City and Lee (Susan) Knapp of Port Orange, Florida. Grandchildren; Jennifer (Jordan) Parker, Andrew (Jarah) Knapp, Jeffrey (Megan) Knapp, Chandler Stapleton, and Erin Morgan.

Dorothy will be laid to rest in a private, graveside service with family at Memorial Park Cemetery in Auburn. There will be a Celebration of Life service at Trinity United Methodist Church on Saturday, Aug. 14, 2021, at 1 p.m. with visitation immediately following in the fellowship hall.
