A funeral service for T. Wayne McCullars, Sr., age 65 of Opelika will be held on Nov. 4 at 2 p.m. at Jeffcoat-Trant Chapel. Reverend Tommy Wilson is officiating. Burial will be held in Garden Hills Cemetery. Visitation is Thursday from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Jeffcoat-Trant Funeral Home.
McCullars was born May 21, 1946, in Chambers County. He passed away on Oct. 31, 2011, at East Alabama Medical Center. He had been a lifelong resident of Lee County. He was retired from Uniroyal, Inc. with 27 years service. Wayne and Gloria attended Liberty Baptist Church in Opelika. He was the past owner/operator of Alli’s Snack Bar in Beauregard, loved to cook and meet his customers. He was preceded in death by parents, Terry McCullars and Minnie McCullars Sheppard; sister, Joyce Blackmon; wife, Wanda McCullars and her son, Jason Barr.
Survivors include his wife, Gloria B. McCullars of Opelika; three sons, Terry W. McCullars, Jr. of Opelika, Timothy J. (Charlene) McCullars of Beauregard, Russell W. (Alexandra) McCullars of Beauregard; two daughters, Tammy (Robert) Brewer of Beulah, Cheryl (Robert) Todd of Beaurgard; brother, Randy McCullars (Vicky) of Dadeville, sister, Lola (John) Thomas of Opelika; father-in-law, Howard Eaton of Camp Hill; 13 grandchildren, and one great grandchild.
