AUBURN — Goodwill broke ground on May 1 for a brand new retail store and donation center in Auburn, marking a significant milestone in its mission to expand job opportunities and accessibility to sustainable shopping.
The new facility, being built at 240 S. College St., will span 20,000 square feet, with nearly 11,500 square feet dedicated to retail shopping. Notably, this location will be the first Goodwill in the Southern Rivers region to feature electric vehicle (EV) charging stations, highlighting the organization’s ongoing commitment to sustainability and innovative community investment.
“We’re proud to be expanding to Auburn and becoming a part of its vibrant community,” said Jack Warden, president and CEO of Goodwill Southern Rivers. “This new location is more than a place to shop or donate — it’s about us continuing to show up for the community in a meaningful way. We look forward to serving Auburn with a store that supports sustainability, offers great value and makes giving back easy and accessible.”
