
Members of the Opelika Community Theatre (OCT) were recent guests of the Opelika Lions Club. OCT offers opportunities for all ages to be involved in the support and production of various theater projects. The group will present six performances of the production “High School Musical” in August at the Southside Center for the Arts at 1103 Glenn St. in Opelika. Lee County Sheriff Jay Jones (left) was a recent guest speaker for the Opelika Lions Club. Jones discussed various aspects of his office operations, including some recent legislation passed this year, his seventh in office. He was presented a donation for a canine protective vest by Lion James Morgan Jr.
