The Lee County Relay for Life drew dozens of participants to Courthouse Square in Opelika April 28 to support the American Cancer Society. The evening consisted of ceremonies, walks, luminaria and other activities. Teams and individual donors raised enough funds to meet Lee County’s goal of $100,000 this year. The theme for this year’s event was “Moving Relay for Life Forward Because Every Step Brings Hope.”
