Trinity Christian lost 51-50 to The Campus at home on Jan. 23. This game was Trinity’s last region game and their only loss in region play.
Unable to get his play into the paint against a dominant 6’8” center from Peachtree City, Coach Richard Oliver went to his outside game but had little success there either. The story of the night was the combined 26-for-79 shooting attempts for both teams. Jaxxon Scott had 13 points and only 8 rebounds for the game. Daniel Adams scored 9 points and pulled down 6 boards while senior point guard Lane Starling led the Eagles with 15 points, 7 rebounds and 5 steals.
On Jan. 27, Lafayette Christian came to Opelika to face Trinity. The Eagles’ junior varsity squad won 45-41 but varsity fell 69-49. Scott led his team with 21 points and 13 boards. Jackson Washburn added 12 rebounds and Lane Starling put up 11 points.
Trinity lost to Southern Prep Academy 70-65 on Jan. 28. Jackson Washburn had 9 points and 15 rebounds, Starling added 8 points and 9 assists and Scott had a big night with 30 points, 23 rebounds and 7 steals.  The Eagles were leading 36 to 29 at halftime but could not keep up with the Rangers’ deep bench.
No report was provided for Trinity’s game against Grace of Columbus on Jan. 31.
Trinity dropped a tough 66-62 contest to LaGrange Academy on Feb. 3, falling to 5-8 overall.
On Feb. 6, Trinity will host Ezekiel Academy of Montgomery for its final regular season home game and will travel to Camp Hill on Feb. 11 to play Southern Prep Academy for a second time this season and its last regular season game.
