Special to the
Join Auburn Area Community Theatre, beginning July 6, for their second online summer camp: AACT Academy July Summer Intensive “Telling YOUR Story – Pandemic Experiences of 2020.” Even in a pandemic, the show goes on… on-line.
Theater is a place to laugh, cry, entertain, teach, express emotion and tell stories that connect people. Even at a young age, there is a desire to share experiences and feelings with others. These unique circumstances offer an occasion to involve young actors and provide an opportunity for them to learn the basics of playwriting so that they may have the skills to record and express their story.
This intensive’s focus will be on writing one’s own monologue/story about their individual pandemic experience. Camp will also involve daily improv, voice and movement and character development sessions, master classes, one on one coaching, tech lessons and additional family fun nights. Register now.
Camps are available for youth ages 6 to18. For full and complete details including expectations, technical requirements, schedule, pricing, as well as to register and pay, please visit www.auburnact.org. (Select Children’s Theatre at the top of the webpage and then select Summer Camps) Sibling discounts, full-tuition scholarships and “pay what you can” options will be available to anyone who needs it. That information can also be found on the website. Find Auburn Area Community Theatre on Facebook too.
