At the Opelika City Council meeting, Mayor Gary Fuller announced that Mando America Corporation, whose North American Headquarters is located in Opelika, will be expanding and adding an additional $8.9 million for equipment and building improvements. That is a total investment of more than $236 million. The company plans to hire an additional 22 employees to support the expansion bringing its total employment level to over 400 team members.
Opelika Mayor Gary Fuller expressed his appreciation for Mando’s continued investment in Opelika, “We are extremely honored that Mando is expanding right here in Opelika. This company is one of our largest manufacturing employers and we appreciate the employment opportunities for our citizens.”
City of Opelika Economic Development Director, Lori Huguley added, “We are appreciative of Mando’s additional investment in Opelika. They are a valued community partner and we are glad to support their continued growth and success.”
Mando’s Opelika operations continue to produce brake calipers and suspension systems to support its customer base located throughout the U.S.
