Lydia Maple of Lakeview Christian in Lee County scored first place in the 2022 Alabama Farm-City Committee Essay Contest for 10th through 12th grades. The theme was “Sustaining for the Future.” Maple and her teacher each received $300 from Alabama Farmers Cooperative (AFC) during the Farm-City Awards Program April 13 in Birmingham.
