Opelika Releases 2026 Football Schedule

Opelika head football coach Jonathan Chandler has released the 2026 schedule, featuring five home games — including
a stretch of four straight — and five road games. The season opener is still being finalized, with Opelika pursuing a matchup against Battle Ground Academy (TN) at Jacksonville State University on August 20.

Opelika’s four-game home stand begins August 28 with Hoover, followed by Enterprise (Aug. 28), Central (Sept. 11) and JAG (Sept. 18). Four of the final five contests will be on the road: at Auburn (Oct. 2), at Dothan (Oct. 9), and closing the season with trips to Carver (Oct. 23) and Prattville (Oct.29). The lone home game in that stretch comes October 16 against Smiths Station.

Coach Chandler expects official confirmation on the season opener in the coming weeks.
