MUSTANGS AND HEROES PROGRAM/EXTENDED HEARTS FOUNDATION – The Mustangs and Heroes Program is an initiative that connects veterans and first responders with the healing power of horses. Through equine-assisted therapy, participants experience emotional support, stress relief and personal growth. The program fosters resilience, builds trust and provides a safe space for healing, helping heroes reconnect with themselves and their communities. Receiving the donation is Bill Schwenk, founder of Mustangs and Heroes Program/Extended Hearts Foundation.
EYE ON GRACE FOUNDATION – The Eye on Grace Foundation is a 501 (c)(3) organization whose mission is to help alleviate the cost of travel related to treatment for those diagnosed with Ocular Melanoma. The average travel cost for one treatment is $500 to $1500. Multiple trips are usually required, which can be financially devastating. Pictured receiving the donation is Ashley McCrary, founder of Eye on Grace Foundation. Ashley’s battle with Ocular Melanoma led her to form Eye On Grace to help others battling Ocular Melanoma.
ONE VOICE SHELTER COALITION – In 2018, One Voice Shelter Coalition, Inc. was organized after many requests from individuals needing shelter. These were not people living under the bridge, but the New Faces of Homelessness, people with jobs, children, those that live, work and worship in our communities. OVSC is not only a place to sleep, it is a home that God has provided for those in need here in Lee County. A safe temporary/transitional home for nine months to a year. Sharing the love of Christ gives each one comfort and stability while living there. Pictured accepting the donation is Jean Causey, founder of One Voice Shelter Coalition.
