LANETT — Lanett School Board Member Johnny Wood said it has been an honor to work with the Superintendent and current board for the last 12 months.
“After my appointment last June, I have received many hours of training by attending conferences,” Wood said. “I have met with educators, stakeholders, lobbyists and politicians all in the effort to supply our children with the best opportunities.
“As a dedicated law enforcement professional, I have spent my career protecting our community.
Woods also said he plans to continue bringing that same commitment to the school system with the items below.

- I will advocate for smart practical policies.
- I believe safety and education go hand-in-hand.
- I’m committed to stronger school and community partnerships.
“I look forward to continue serving and advocating for our students while representing District 3 on the Lanett City School Board,” Wood said. “I am asking for your consideration and support on Aug. 26.”
