LAFAYETTE — The Boutique at Lowe’s Pharmacy & Gift Shop is holding a Fourth of July sale where customers can purchase items for 30% off through July 10.
“Inside the pharmacy, we have a boutique that has ladies’ clothing, jewelry, gifts and things like that,” said owner of Lowe’s Pharmacy & Gift Shop, Brent Fuller. “Now through July 10, our Fourth of July sale is 30% off of anything in the boutique.”
Lowe’s Pharmacy offers regular sales and discounts for community members, and information on these is mailed to residents monthly.
“We always have our circular sale monthly,” Fuller said. “We have a lot of really good sales, and usually if you live around here, it just comes in the mail.”
Lowe’s Pharmacy also offers a local option for community members so they do not have to drive to a neighboring town for their medical needs, and now provides boutique options for gift and personal shopping.
“There are so many people on the outskirts of town that are very far from a pharmacy,” Fuller said. “For some people, it would take 30 minutes or longer to get to a pharmacy, especially if we were not here, it would take over an hour. So we try to provide what our patients need.”
Lowe’s Pharmacy & Gift Shop cashier Anita Smith said that local women enjoy the ability to purchase gifts and clothes from Lowe’s Pharmacy & Gift Shop instead of having to drive out of town.
“They enjoy it, it has items that they can get here in LaFayette and not have to travel out of town,” she said. “We sell clothing, shoes, jewelry and candles. We have a few baby items, and a lot of it is gift items that people could buy for showers, birthdays or anniversaries.”
Smith said that she enjoys the products at Lowe’s Boutique and regularly buys the shoes sold there to wear for work.
“I have bought several things here,” she said. “I have bought clothing and shoes, the brand shoes they stock here are very comfortable to wear and to stand in. I bought jewelry here personally and several other items.”
Fuller said that Lowe’s Pharmacy aims to help locals with their prescription and immunization needs.
“We just try to help the community when we can with their prescription needs,” he said. “If it’s prescriptions or medical supplies, things like that, we have immunizations that we can provide for patients, particularly shingles. We do shingles vaccines during the fall and immunizations for the flu and pneumonia.”
Through providing immunizations and medical supplies for the community, Fuller said that he enjoys taking care of community members and helping with their health.
“We just try to take care of folks, like they are our family, because we’re always concerned with them,” he said. “I think that’s our advantage over a chain, we know our customers are our livelihood. So we always try to take care of them and do what’s best for them.”
