TO THE OBSERVER

Both Auburn and Opelika residents will have a chance to view Musical Theatre International’s “All To-gether Now!: A Global Event Celebrating Local Theatre.” For The Broadway Musical Revue Fundraiser in November.

AUBURN:

Auburn Area Community Theatre (AACT) can’t wait for to you see all the local talent that will take the stage for the Broadway Musical Revue Fundraiser.

Lights go up on this show on Nov. 12 through 15 at the Jan Dempsey Community Arts Center, 222 E. Drake Ave., Auburn, Alabama.

Music Theatre International (MTI) is one of the world’s leading theatrical licensing agencies, granting the-aters around the world the rights to perform the greatest selection of musicals from Broadway and be-yond. Because COVID-19 has affected so many theaters, MTI decided to provide an opportunity for schools and theaters worldwide to locally produce and perform an exclusive musical revue featuring 15 songs from MTI’s beloved shows as a way to fundraise.

To date, there are more than 3,800 theaters participating in 36 countries and territories, including other regional theaters as well. Each theater gets to pick the songs they would like from a selection provided by MTI and each theater gets to choose how to produce the show, so no two theaters will have the same show.

AACT can’t wait for you to see what they’ve chosen; selections include numbers from “Mama Mia!”, “Godspell”, “High School Musical”, “Frozen, “Rent” and more.

Performances for “All Together Now!” will be on Nov. 12, 13 and 15 at 7 p.m., and Nov. 14 at 2 p.m. Performances on the 13, 14 and 15 will be also be live-streamed with tickets available for purchase to watch those performances online.

Tickets are $15 for adults, $12 for students and seniors and $10 for livestream. Call 334-246-1084 or visit www.auburnact.org for ticket purchases and more information. For more information or to purchase tick-ets, please visit www.auburnact.org.

AACT is thrilled to be bringing so many great shows to our area this season with many opportunities to get involved.  AACT’s next opportunity is the 2nd Annual Holiday Walk in the Woods. AACT is a volunteer organization that depends on the time and energy of many wonderful people from within the community.
