Americana music legend Malcolm Holcombe will make his long-awaited Sundilla debut on Sept. 27.
Born and raised in the Blue Ridge mountains of North Carolina, Holcombe is highly regarded and recognized by his contemporaries including Emmylou Harris, Steve Earle and Wilco. Known for his emotionally captivating performances, he has shared the stage with Merle Haggard, Richard Thompson, John Hammond, Leon Russell, Wilco and Shelby Lynne.
No emotional stone is left unturned during one of Holcombe’s performances. While one plans for this important experience, collect Holcombe’s albums. His music is cryptic, demanding, polarizing, bold, passionate and free, a combination badly needed in this day and age.
Showtime at the Auburn Unitarian Universalist Fellowship is 7:30 p.m., and advance tickets are $15 and can be purchased at Spicer’s Music, Ross House Coffee and online at sundillamusic.com.
Day-of tickets will cost $20. Free coffee, tea, water and food will be available, and attendees are welcome to bring their own favorite food or beverage.
For more information, visit www.sundillamusic.com. The venue is located at 450 E. Thach Ave.
