The Lee County Emergency Management Agency will be conducting a school-wide mass casualty training at Wacoochee Elementary School on 12/14/21 during the afternoon/evening hours. The training will test the county’s response to a school incident, from the initial call to releasing children to home safely with their parents or guardians at a reunification site.

During this exercise, there will be heavy police, fire and medical presence in Wacoochee Elementary School located at 125 Lee Road 254 in Salem.

The training exercise will be conducted in the afternoon at the conclusion of normal school hours. Expect traffic delays and alternate traffic patterns between the hours of 3 until approximately 7 p.m.

Thank you for your patience as our public safety partners exercise their skills and training to keep our children safe in a school environment.
