OPELIKA — Hometime Solutions opened in Opelika in July and provides discount mattresses and furniture for Lee County residents.
“It’s exciting,” said Hometime Solutions Owner Willie Moore. “They don’t have a store like this. I don’t know another store that sells quality used items and brand new items for a fraction of the prices anywhere online. So just to be able to get an option in the area for the community to have access to the store [is great].”
Moore owns two other Hometime Solution stores, one in Montgomery and one in Prattville. He said he has wanted to open a store to serve the Lee County area for years.
“I’ve had an eye on Lee County, Chambers County for a while, for years, like over five years,” he said.
Through Hometime Solutions, Moore said he is able to provide locals with low prices for quality products.
“I just saw a need that people couldn’t find affordable furniture that is high quality, and that’s how we started,” he said.
According to Moore, customers have responded positively to the products at Hometime Solutions and the prices offered.
“A lot of people who are shopping with us are saying they haven’t really seen these prices, which I agree, I know they haven’t seen these prices for this quality,” he said.
Moore said his new Hometime Solutions store is starting small, but he already has plans to expand to give locals more affordable options nearby.
“Our location in that area is small by the simple fact that we want to get everybody aware of what hometown solution provides,” he said. “Then we will open up a store, you know, 20,000-plus square feet. Within two years, when our lease it up, we’ll be opening up a brand new store, bigger store, much bigger store, and it’ll have new furniture coming in weekly.”
As he has watched Hometime Solutions grow, Moore said his multiple locations have enabled customers to have more access to discounted products.
“Anything that they see on our Facebook page or on our website, it can be delivered to them.” he said. “Before I opened these locations, the delivery fee was so high … we couldn’t even get to you . But now that we have a location there, it makes it simpler to get items, either from here today or from there to here or anywhere in between.”
