SMITHS STATION — Adam Littleton, a lifelong resident of Smiths Station, small business owner and dedicated community leader, has officially announced his candidacy for City Council, Place 2. With deep roots in the city and a proven record of service, Adam is stepping forward to help lead Smiths Station through its next chapter of growth and opportunity.
“As someone who’s lived here my entire life, raised my family here and served in this community for years, I know how special Smiths Station is,” said Littleton. “But we’re at a turning point. Growth is coming fast, and we need leaders who are ready to meet the moment with steady hands and a servant’s heart.”
A 1997 graduate of Smiths Station High School, Adam and his wife, Amy, have three children—two SSHS graduates and one currently attending East Smiths Station Elementary. The Littletons are active members of Smiths Station Baptist Church.
Professionally, Adam is a licensed home builder, Realtor and school bus driver for Lee County Schools. Adam’s public service includes current leadership on the Smiths Station Water & Sewer Authority Board, and past service on the Lee County Planning Commission and the Lee County Building Authority. He’s also deeply involved in youth sports and education, from booster clubs to coaching and mentoring the next generation.
If elected, Adam will focus on strengthening the city’s infrastructure, supporting small businesses and encouraging smart, responsible growth that preserves Smiths Station’s small-town identity. He believes in building strong partnerships with local schools, improving safety and expanding youth programs to help students thrive. Adam is also committed to restoring transparency and trust in city government by promoting open communication and public involvement.
“Our city deserves leadership that listens, acts, and builds—not just for today, but for tomorrow,” Littleton added. “I’m ready to roll up my sleeves and work for the people of Smiths Station, just like I always have.”
