OPELIKA — The city of Opelika has promoted Dorothy Daniels to Municipal Court Clerk.
Daniels began her career with the City of Opelika in the Records Division at the Opelika Police Department. In 2015, she transitioned to Municipal Court as a magistrate. In her new role as Court Clerk, she will oversee the operations of the court, ensuring compliance with local ordinances and State of Alabama laws and regulations.
“Daniels has been a dedicated employee of the city since February 2008, bringing years of experience and a strong commitment to public service,” according to a press release. “Her extensive experience and dedication to the community make her well-suited for this important position. The city of Opelika congratulates Daniels on her well-earned promotion and looks forward to her continued contributions to the community.”
“I give 100% at all times, and I’m passionate about my job,” said Daniels, a veteran of the U.S. Army Reserve and Army National Guard.
“I am confident that Dorothy will excel in leading Opelika Municipal Court,” said Court Administrator Denise P. Rogers. “Her commitment to excellence and service is evident in everything she does.”
