The annual Taste of Lee County and Community Comedy Roast took place at Greater Peace Baptist Church, Saturday, July 22 from 6 to 8:30 p.m. This year’s special guest was Auburn University associate head football Coach Carnell “Cadillac” Williams. His friends took turns roasting him during an evening of tasting foods from numerous local vendors, laughs, networking and funraising for the Greater Peace Community Development Corporation (GPCDC). GPCDC provides affordable housing, child care, after school care, summer programs, other educational programs and growth opportunities for youth and adults living in East Alabama.
