Southern Union State Community College Baseball ranks second in the Perfect Game 2021 recruiting class rankings as the signing period for the class of 2021 opens.

Five of the Bison’s commits are ranked among the top 100 players in the state. While the recruiting class rankings aren’t finalized until the players arrive on campus next fall, Southern Union is on track for one of the highest-ranking recruiting classes in the Alabama Community College Conference.

“This class of recruits has the potential to make big waves in the world of JuCo baseball. They are joining an already-strong roster of current players. I truly believe we are on the path to consistently being one of the top programs in Alabama and we are working hard to put this program on the national stage,” said Aaron Everett, head baseball coach.

With players being at SU for only two years, Everett is looking to fill slots for every position to keep quality players in all positions each year.

“I just want to get the best players we can to keep our program competetive,” said Everett. “I anticipate that several of our current players will move on to the next level, and it is exciting to know we have such a talented group of recruits.”

Bison Baseball opens this year’s season on  Jan. 29 against Jackson State Community College.
