Smiths Station High School’s baseball and softball programs are churning out elite talent, as evidenced by nine student-athletes inking collegiate scholarships during a signing ceremony held inside the school’s main gym last Wednesday.
Male Sports Athletic Director Brian Nelson began the ceremony with an introduction of the athletes and sharing how much work led up to this special moment in their lives.
“Our goal as coaches is to make them better each day, better than they were yesterday and to be better tomorrow than they are today,” Nelson said.
Following short introductions from softball coach Matt Stonbraker and baseball coach Michael Ferry, the student athletes gathered for a group picture then signed their letter of intent.
