April is the National Autism Awareness month. The Lee County Autism Resource and Advocacy group gathered last week in front of the Lee County Courthouse fountain, which was dyed blue for autism awareness. Mayor Gary Fuller also came out to support the cause. A Special Needs Expo (pictured below) was held at the Opelika Sportsplex April 4. Parents, caregivers and teachers of special needs children were provided with tools and resources from various vendors about camps, sports and school activities.
