The Southern Union State Community College Foundation is pleased to announce the establishment of the Wes Kinsey Memorial Scholarship.
Established by his wife, Donna, and his colleagues at iSchoolSports Network, the scholarship fund honors the memory of the late Wes Kinsey.
“We are so honored to be the avenue through which this scholarship honoring Wes is made possible,” said Shondae Brown, Southern Union’s director of public relations. “He was a true friend to our college; a strong advocate for Southern Union, and we are glad to help the good things that he stood for to live on.”
A total of four scholarships in the amount of $250 each shall be awarded to students from each of the four high schools in Randolph County (Woodland High School, Wadley High School, Randolph County High School and Handley High School) who display an interest in the fine arts.
Anyone interested in helping sustain the scholarship can make a contribution to the Scholarship Fund in Kinsey’s memory. Donations should be sent to Southern Union Foundation, PO Box 1000, Wadley, AL 36276. Please earmark donations for the Wes Kinsey Scholarship.
The Southern Union Foundation is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization that was established to support and foster the educational and service programs and activities of SUSCC. The Foundation increases educational access for students through financial support and enables the college to initiate innovative projects to enhance the quality of education.
