Local high school athletes put pen to paper last week, signing collegiate athletic scholarships to continue their sports journey at the next level. Opelika High School baseball player Brooks Bryan (top left) committed to play baseball for the Troy University Trojans, with family, Opelika head baseball coach Zach Blatt, athletic director Mike Pugh and others in attendance. Bryan’s teammate, Jackson Harris (top right), signed and committed to play for Southern Union State Community College with family and OHS athletics staff present as well. Additionally, four Beauregard High School varsity softball players (pictured right) inked their commitment to play for higher learning institutions. Madison Champion and Cat Henson both signed to Chattahoochee Valley Community College; Raley Thorn committed to Point University; and Caroline Willis committed to Marion Military institute. Congratulations to all these local athletes on their signings!
