AUBURN — The 21st annual Juried Art Show and Preview Reception is just around the corner, and organizers are excited to showcase the community’s creative work. Held in collaboration with Auburn CityFest 2026, the CityFest Juried Art Show and Preview Reception is presented and hosted by Auburn-Opelika Tourism, the Auburn Arts Association and the City of Auburn Parks and Recreation. This year’s reception will be Thursday, April 23, at the Historic Nunn-Winston House at Kiesel Park from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
The exhibition will highlight a diverse range of fine art by regional artists, including painting, works on paper, three-dimensional art such as ceramics and sculpture, mixed media and photography.
Artists 18 and older from Alabama or neighboring states may enter one piece in their chosen medium. To apply visit auburncityfest.org or go directly to auburnal.myrec.com. The entry fee is $35 and must be paid upon registration, please note that the fee is waived for artists with exhibitor booths at Auburn CityFest on Saturday, April 25. Artists participating in Auburn CityFest should contact Emillie Dombrowski at (334) 501-2944 for a vendor promotional code before registering.
All displayed works will be available for purchase, and up to $1,000 in merit awards will be presented, including two special awards from Auburn-Opelika Tourism. Award recipients will be announced during Thursday evening’s reception, which will feature live music by the Brokers Band and catering by Chef Alex Strickland.
The deadline for entry forms, fees and artwork is Monday, April 20. Pieces may be delivered to the Jan Dempsey Community Arts Center at 222 E. Drake Ave. from April 13 to 17. Works may also be delivered to the Nunn-Winston House at Kiesel Park on April 20 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., which is the preferred delivery method.
