NOW THROUGH JAN. 2026 — “HEY DAY HOLIDAY” AT GREENS SPACE, AUBURN
Bundle up and enjoy a magical winter season at the greenspace outside Hey Day Market, featuring a 24-foot Christmas tree and an ice-skating rink. Open daily from noon to 8:30 p.m. beginning in November.

NOW THROUGH JAN. 1 — AUBURN GINGERBREAD VILLAGE DISPLAY
Experience the magic of the holidays with the annual Gingerbread Village inside the Tony & Libba Rane Culinary Science Center at Auburn University. The display opens Dec. 8 and runs through New Year’s Day. Created by Auburn’s architecture and culinary students, this intricate exhibit features edible replicas of Auburn landmarks and is free and open to the public daily.

DECEMBER — AUSTIN 1ST FOUNDATION CHARITY CHRISTMAS GIVEBACK
Austin’s 1st Christmas, the Austin 1st Foundation’s annual holiday giveback, is collecting gifts for children at Children’s Hospital of Alabama. Community members can help fill the Sugar Plum Shop by donating through the foundation’s Amazon Wish List. BEGINS JANUARY 2026 — OLLI SAMPLER COURSE
The OLLI Sampler Class offers prospective members a seven-week introduction to OLLI with courses across a variety of topics. Cost is $25 and is applied toward annual membership if participants join. Current members may attend with friends at no additional cost.

NIGHTLY THROUGH JAN. 7 — FORESTDALE CHRISTMAS STORY DISPLAY
The Forestdale neighborhood presents its annual drive-through Christmas display featuring 12 panels depicting the Biblical Christmas story. This year’s display honors local art instructor John Willer. Location: Forestdale neighborhood between Samford Drive and Moore’s Mill Road from dusk to 10 p.m.

JAN 7 — OLLI WINTER TERM REGISTRATION
Registration opens at 9.am. for OLLI at Auburn’s Winter Term. Classes begin Jan. 20. Course grid and descriptions are available online.

JAN. 9 — MONROEVILLE LITERARY FESTIVAL SERIES
Jay Lamar will be in conversation with Anne Byrn, author of Baking in the American South. Session available in person and online.

JAN. 20 — OLLI SOCIAL: TOUR THE GOGUE PERFORMING ARTS CENTER
OLLI members are invited to a behind-the-scenes tour of the Gogue Performing Arts Center, including the new studio hall and performance spaces. Participants meet in the GPAC lobby at 3:50 p.m. AU English Club students will join for an intergenerational experience. Location: Gogue Performing Arts Center, Auburn

FEB. 14 — OLLI SOCIAL TRIP: NAT KING COLE TRIBUTE AT ALABAMA SHAKESPEARE FESTIVAL
OLLI will travel to Montgomery for Unforgettable: John-Mark McGaha Sings Nat King Cole at the Alabama Shakespeare Festival. Vans depart Sunny Slope at 12:30 p.m. for the 2 p.m. performance.
Cost: $59 per person (includes transportation).
