AUBURN — Get ready to experience an evening of creativity, community and celebration at the SummerNight Downtown Art Walk set for Friday, June 6, from 6 to 10 p.m.
This annual event transforms downtown Auburn into a vibrant arts district. The evening will feature live music, an artist marketplace, late-night shopping and dining at local businesses and fun children’s activities at St. Dunstan’s Episcopal Church.
This year’s entertainment includes a special performance by The Lazybirds, known for their distinctive blend of Americana, swing and jazz. The band will perform in a unique, campfire-style setting that invites guests to enjoy live music under warm lights with great company.
A crowd favorite, the culinary contest, returns with Marshmallow Mania. In the spirit of summer campouts, local bakers and food enthusiasts are invited to showcase their best marshmallow-inspired creations. Entries may be submitted on Friday, June 6, between 8 and 11 a.m. at the Jan Dempsey Community Arts Center, 222 E. Drake Ave. Contest winners will be announced at approximately 7 p.m. on the SummerNight stage at Toomer’s Corner.
