Hazel Henderson Fleck
Hazel Fleck, 93, of Auburn, died Thursday, March 5, at Bethany House in Auburn.
She was born July 24, 1921, in Camp Hill. She was an avid member of Pine Grove Baptist Church. Mrs. Fleck was a veteran of the Navy Waves, serving her country in World War II.
Mrs. Fleck is preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Richard J. Fleck. She is survived by her three daughters, Fran (Bill) Campbell, Carol (Van) Van Dolson, and Bobby Hawkins; five grandchildren, Nathan (Karol) Campbell, Brandon (Caitlin) Campbell, Caitlin Campbell, Chris (Carolyn) Van Dolson and Sandi Van Dolson; and four siblings, John Ben (Inez) Henderson, Len (Dot) Henderson, Jean Duck and Sara Jo Merritt.
A private memorial service will be held at Oak Park Retirement Center, where Mrs. Fleck was a resident for several years. The family wants to acknowledge the excellent care given by Oak Park staff during Ms. Fleck’s stay at the facilities. Also, a special thank you for the excellent care given by Dr. Gunter and his nurse Keisha and his staff.

“Buddy” deGraffenried
A memorial service for Chief Frank M. “Buddy” deGraffenried, who passed away March 5, will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, March 19, at Auburn United Methodist Church. Dr. George Mathison and the Rev. Charles Cummings are officiating.
Visitation is Thursday, March 19, from 1-2:30 p.m. prior to the service at Auburn United Methodist Church.
