Linda M. Hadaway
1949-2014
Linda M. Hadaway, age 65, was born June 23, 1949 in Langdale, Alabama and passed away Aug. 2, 2014 at her home in Opelika.
Linda deeply loved life, her family, and her grandchildren. There wasn’t anything she wouldn’t do for someone as long as she was able. She was loved by so many and will be dearly missed.
She is survived by her husband, James D. Hadaway; daughter, Pam Wallace (Alan); son, Tracey Hadaway (Melissa); grandchildren, Tabitha Hadaway, Jackson Hadaway, Katie Yates, and Jackson Yates; sisters, Diane Arrington (Joe), Brenda Craft, and Wanda Neace.
Funeral service was held Tuesday, Aug. 5, 2014, at noon in the Chapel at Frederick-Dean Funeral Home, with the Rev. Ricky Thomaston officiating. Interment followed at Hillcrest Cemetery on Country Club Road, Lanett, Alabama.
Visitation was held on Monday, Aug. 4, 2014, from 6-8 p.m. in the parlor at Frederick-Dean Funeral Home.

John Thomason Alley, Jr.
1954-2014
John Thomason Alley, Jr., affectionately known as “Big John,” age 60, of Auburn, Alabama, passed away on Aug. 1st, 2014.
He is survived by his wife, Sue M. Alley, and his daughters, Catherine Alley Pollard (Will), Susan Alley, Dixie Alley and Liz Alley, as well as his mother, Lavinia Alley, and his sisters, Dixie Segrest (Dorman), Lavinia Parnell and Susan Woodruff (Carl), and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, John Thomason Alley of Auburn, AL.
He was a proud 1972 graduate of Auburn High School, where he excelled in football and causing trouble. He then went on the The University of the South: Sewanee, where he lettered in varsity football and baseball and was president of Beta Theta Pi fraternity.
He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1976. He earned his Juris Doctor from The University of Alabama School of Law in 1979 and practiced law in the Montgomery and Auburn area for 35 years. He was an active member of the Auburn Rotary Club and volunteered his time teaching underprivileged kids to fish as well as taking veterans with the Wounded Warrior Project hunting and fishing.
He loved spending time with his wife and daughters, and spent many years coaching and cheering them on at numerous athletic events. He loved the Auburn Tigers and fishing with his friends. He lived life large, loved his many friends that he thought of as family and never met a stranger.
A celebration of his life was held Tuesday, Aug. 5, 2014, at 2 p.m. in the sanctuary of Auburn United Methodist Church, located at 137 S. Gay St, Auburn. A visitation preceded the service.
