This week marked the retirement of Opelika City Schools CFO Barbara Cutright, pictured above with school board president O.D. Alsobrook and Superintendent Mark Neighbors.
Cutright has worked with Opelika City Schools since 1978, starting as a bookkeeper at the central office before transferring to Carver Primary School for four years to be the school’s secretary/bookkeeper. She transferred back to central office to assume the CFO role.
Cutright’s dedication to her job and her careful management of funds under her stewardship have helped to keep Opelika’s children in classrooms with the best teachers and materials available to them, even in times of economic downturn, and we thank her for her service.
