Clarence H. Jensen, age 88, formerly of Edgeley, N.D., passed away on Dec. 6, 2011, in Auburn, where he had resided the past two years.
Jensen was born on March 17, 1923, on a farm outside of Berlin in LaMoure County, N.D., the third child and oldest son of Hans and Clara (Oleson) Jensen. He was raised on the family farm outside Berlin and attended Wano Township #1 School.
Clarence married Inez Ruth Marie Fevold, daughter of Martin and Bertha (Olson) Fevold, on June 3, 1951. June 3, 2011, marked their 60th anniversary.
Jensen successfully farmed all his adult life until retiring in 1987. He and his wife belonged to and were active in the Willow Grove Church until it closed. They then became members of Edgeley United Methodist Church in Edgeley where they were very committed to and involved in the music ministry of the church for many years.
Jensen served on various boards in the community. He enjoyed reading, playing cards with friends, gardening, innovating and most of all the outdoors, especially hunting and seeing the natural and varied beauty of the United States. He especially enjoyed their trips to Cody, Wyo. for July 4th rodeos; the Black Hills of S.D. to see their many favorite beautiful sights and all the wildlife; he also enjoyed trips to Medora and the musicals there.
