LUNCH AT THE CHAMBER
The Opelika Chamber is hosting “Lunch at the Chamber,” a weekly food truck and pop-up vendor event held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. each Monday at 200 S. Sixth St., Opelika. The event runs from late February through November and features a rotating lineup of local restaurants and vendors serving lunch outside the Chamber building. TUESDAYS IN THE GARDEN —
Tuesdays in the Garden will take place at St. Dunstan’s Episcopal Church, 136 East Magnolia Avenue, Auburn, from 2 to 4 p.m. each Tuesday. All are welcome to drop by St. Dunstan’s, enter the beautiful garden and relax and enjoy its beauty. Seating will be provided. St. Dunstan’s has one of the last green-space areas in downtown Auburn. Thomas Joyner, Rector at St. Dunstan’s and all its members warmly welcome everyone into our beautiful space that God has provided.

Opelika Chamber continues its Food Truck Monday series every Monday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Downtown Opelika welcomes food trucks offering a variety of lunch options, inviting residents to gather and enjoy local cuisine in a community setting.
MAY 14, 21, 28 — LIVE & LOCAL CONCERT SERIES
The City of Auburn’s free Live & Local Concert Series returns to Kiesel Park with weekly concerts from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, blankets and friends to enjoy live music, food and fellowship. Food concessions will be available for purchase. The lineup includes Auburn High School and Junior High Jazz Bands (May 7), The Band Established (May 14), The Sally Brown Band (May 21) and Chee Chee Jordan & Friends Choir (May 28). MAY 16 — CITY-WIDE CLEAN UP
Keep Opelika Beautiful will partner with the city of Opelika for its annual City-Wide Clean Up on May 16 from 8 to 10 a.m. The anti-litter campaign promotes community pride and brings together residents, businesses and organizations to help keep Opelika clean.
MAY 19 – O GROWS FARMERS MARKET
The farmers market will be in Courthouse Square in downtown Opelika every Tuesday from 3 to 6 p.m.
MAY 23–AUG. 29 — CITY MARKET RETURNS TO TOWN CREEK PARK
City Market will return for the 2026 season beginning Saturday, May 23, at Town Creek Park and will continue each Saturday through Aug. 29 from 8 to 11 a.m. (excluding July 4). The market features fresh produce, locally made goods, handcrafted items, live music and children’s activities. MAY 25 — MAYOR’S MEMORIAL DAY BREAKFAST
The Auburn community is invited to attend the 26th annual Mayor’s Memorial Day Breakfast at 8 a.m. at the Hotel at Auburn University and Dixon Conference Center. This year’s guest of honor is U.S. Air Force Col. John R. Wingfield III, recipient of the Distinguished Veteran Award, and the Auburn Heroes Remembered Award will be presented to the family of U.S. Marine Corps Cpl. Eugene Sledge. Tickets are $25 per person or $250 for a table of 10 and are available at Auburn City Hall, 144 Tichenor Ave. A free wreath-laying ceremony will follow at 10 a.m. at the Auburn Veterans Memorial Monument at Ross Street and Glenn Avenue, featuring a rifle detail by VFW Post 5404. Parking is available at the Douglas J. Watson Municipal Complex, Felton Little Park and the East Glenn Avenue Municipal Parking Lot. Road closures will be in place around the ceremony area.
